    Fran Broude was named president and chief operating officer of Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage in Chicago and Milwaukee in January 2007. In this position, Broude oversees the operations of 55 Coldwell Banker offices and the affiliations of more than 3,500 independent sales associates in the Chicagoland, Northwest Indiana, Southwest Michigan, and Southeast Wisconsin areas. 


    Broude began her real estate career in 1989 as a salesperson for a local, one office firm. Within a year she was named broker manager and was credited for the firm’s growth from 15 to 40 independent agents and gross sales that more than doubled. By 1991 she was promoted to vice president of the firm and assumed responsibility for growth in the residential, commercial and new construction divisions. 

    In 1993 the firm was acquired by Prudential Preferred Properties and then in 1995 by Burnet Financial Group. Shortly after, Broude successfully opened the first “mega-office” in Chicagoland. The 12,000 square foot Northwest office opened with 98 independent agents and quickly grew to 140 independent agents. This mega-office is still the dominant force and #1 office in the region today. 

    Broude was named regional vice president in 1997 and oversaw eight offices. Coldwell Banker acquired the firm in 1998, and in 1999, Broude was named senior vice president and assumed the responsibility of the company’s 19 offices in the Northwest suburbs, consolidating offices where duplication occurred, blending the cultures, systems and facilities of several different environments, and ultimately leading Coldwell Banker to the #1 position in the marketplace. 

    Between 2000 and 2002 Fran expanded her regional responsibilities, adding the DuPage and Wisconsin regions. In July 2002, Broude was promoted to senior vice president and general sales manager. In this position, she was responsible for overseeing four of the company’s regional vice presidents and their regions, which encompassed 44 offices. In 2004, she was named executive vice president/general sales manager and was responsible for overseeing operations for all six regions and their regional managers. 

    Broude is a lifelong resident of suburban Chicago and a graduate of the University of Miami, Coral Gables Florida with a degree in Business Administration. Broude has served on the Board of Directors for Multiple Listing Service of Northern Illinois and is currently serving on the Board of Managers for Midwest Real Estate Data. In addition, she is a member of the North Shore-Barrington Association of Realtors and the Chicago Association of Realtors. She has also been a NAR REach Mentor since 2013.

    A professional in the real estate industry for over 20 years, Kathy Kalnes is the Senior Vice President of Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage’s Greater Chicagoland Suburban Region, incorporating 11 offices and a talented team of more than 1,000 real estate professionals.

    Helping Agents Succeed 

    Kathy’s passion for helping people has always been a driving force in her career. When she joined Coldwell Banker’s Tinley Park office as a sales agent in 1988, Kathy realized she could truly help people achieve their dreams through real estate. After a successful sales career she joined the Oak Lawn office in 1996 as a managing broker, growing and developing a successful office. Then, in 2003, she transitioned to the Hinsdale office, ready to help a new group of agents. In 2007, seizing the opportunity for growth, Kathy joined Coldwell Banker’s leadership team as a Regional Vice President, overseeing the Northwest Suburban and city regions. During her 8 year tenure in the City Region, Kathy managed each of the offices personally and recruited one of the most highly skilled teams of branch managers in the industry. Kathy made major improvements to the real estate education program for the City Region. She oversaw the improvement of the Previews luxury marketing program and she dramatically improved the level of customer service by regionalizing the marketing department. Her personal touch and professional guidance were felt throughout the region.

    After working in the sophisticated business environment in downtown Chicago, Kathy saw the opportunity to use her talents and experience to create dramatic business growth in the Greater Chicagoland Suburban Region, taking over the region in 2015. She brings strong leadership, wisdom and support to the managing brokers and agents. She is committed to helping them achieve their highest potential and firmly believes they are her number 1 clients. She works closely with each office’s managing broker to stay apprised of what’s happening. She also seeks constantly to improve support systems, professional instruction and communications. Above all, Kathy takes pride in being a mentor and committed proponent of an agent-centric environment. She works tirelessly to motivate sales associates to higher levels of achievement. As a Certified Real Estate Coach, she believes that learning through mentoring and coaching can lead to a successful career. Kathy also makes sure business development and education are offered frequently to put professional development within every agent’s reach. 

    Strengthening the Community and the Industry

    Kathy’s efforts go beyond the office. Throughout her career, she has been extremely active in industry associations. From her recognition as 2002 Realtor of the Year for the Southwest Association of Realtors, to many volunteer roles for the National Association of Realtors, Illinois Association of Realtors and Chicago Association of Realtors (CAR), Kathy believes in giving back. She most recently served on CAR’s Board of Directors. A member of Coldwell Banker’s Charitable Foundation Board, Kathy is also able to give back to the community and encourage agents to do so as well. She has participated in many fundraising initiatives and continues to encourage the region to raise money for many local housing-related charities.

    David Wolf currently serves as the President of Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage’s Development Marketing Division and Senior Vice President of its Chicago operations. 

    In this substantial leadership role, Wolf leverages his vast knowledge and expertise to manage the growth and development of six residential sales and five leasing offices in the city of Chicago, as well as Coldwell Banker’s Harbor Country office in New Buffalo, Michigan. Additionally, he oversees the company’s luxury marketing direction for Chicago and assists with onsite development opportunities throughout NRT’s markets across the country.  

    Prior to Coldwell Banker, Wolf amassed more than a decade of real estate experience between two major industry players in the Chicago market, including real estate juggernaut Related Realty and Related Midwest Sales, as well as @properties. As president of Related Realty, he led a team of experienced brokers who specialized in Chicago’s key downtown neighborhoods, providing the guidance necessary to elevate all facets of the residential real estate experience.

    Wolf’s integral role as president of Related Midwest Sales also allowed him the ability to lead the charge in managing the development of sales efforts within the company’s comprehensive, blue chip portfolio, including the South Loop Luxury by Related condominium collection. Since Related’s inception in 2012, Wolf catapulted both businesses from a start up to sales in excess of $300 million.

    During his time at @properties, Wolf asserted himself as a top agent in Chicago with an unparalleled set of skills and relationships. As a result, he was aptly named a Chicago Association of Realtors® Top Producer, recorded sales that ranked amongst the top 10 realtors within the city and the top one percent of realtors nationally.

    Wolf continues to maintain his membership with the Chicago Association of Realtors® and is involved with several charitable agencies, including Off the Street Club, Chicago's oldest boys and girls club. He holds a bachelor’s degree in public relations and marketing from Miami University in Ohio.

    For more than 25 years Nina has worn many hats with Coldwell Banker. Nina is currently the Regional Vice President for the DuPage Corridor offices including Downers Grove, Elmhurst, Hinsdale, Clarendon Hills, La Grange, Lombard and Oak Brook. She is also the Managing Broker for Hinsdale and Clarendon Hills. As a residential real estate leader, Nina has been a manger since 2000 and the branch manager of the award-winning Hinsdale Village office since 2006. She has lived in Clarendon Hills for more than 25 years and knows the market well. When not focused on real estate, Nina enjoys boating, painting, gardening and playing with her pet boxers. Married to her husband Chuck, they have two grown daughters who live nearby.
